Rinse water filtration, what's the solution?

The company is a global leader in the manufacturing of metal packaging, primarily for the beverage, food, and consumer goods industries. In the rinse water recycling process, two main challenges needed to be addressed: optimizing the filtration quality and securing the cartridge supply to avoid any delivery disruptions.

Additionally, the filter lifespan had to be at least equivalent to that of the existing filters.

The use of a large-diameter depth filtration cartridge emerged as the ideal solution for the rinse water recycling process, particularly due to the required flow rate of approximately 20 m³/h. We opted for the CONTOUR cartridge from AMAZON FILTERS, featuring a polypropylene media and a rigid polypropylene central core, ensuring resistance to pressures between 5 and 6 bar.

The fibers of the CONTOUR cartridge are continuously thermally bonded onto a mandrel, without the use of resins, adhesives, or lubricants. This manufacturing process ensures that the filtered fluid remains uncontaminated. Additionally, the high void volume provides low ∆P and high retention capacity. All materials comply with US FDA Title 21 regulations and meet food contact requirements as specified in the European Standard EC 1935/2004.
