COMPANY CONTEXT
In this company, filters are used in the manufacturing process of a biocide, during the packaging of containers. The filtration stage is tricky because the company's customer requires the product supplied to be at least cleanliness class 5 in the NAS standard for particle content.

FILTRATION PROBLEMS
The problems encountered on the production line are diverse:
The company had carried out a filtration study to obtain the desired quality for the biocide produced. The filtration solution chosen consists of a device with 3 filtration stages in series: lenticular module, 5 µm filter cartridge and then 1.5 µm filter cartridge. |

THE PEMFLOW FILTRATION SOLUTION

We worked on the last two filtration stages to improve production costs while maintaining the quality of the finished product. We proposed AMAZON Filters SUPASPUN 5µm and SUPAPLEAT 03XB cartridges.
Initial tests were conclusive, but showed that the operators were experiencing problems with the breakage of certain end caps (code 7) connecting the 5×30 inch cartridges of the 5 and 1.5µm stages, and with their workstations becoming dirty.
As a second step, we therefore improved the ergonomics of the installation and suggested using the SUPACLEAN filtering device, which enabled the filter media selected to be retained while improving the cleanliness of the workstation.
